Child and Family Health Services - CFHS

The Child and Family Health Services program is designed as an organized community effort to eliminate health disparities.  By conducting community assessments through this program, Defiance County General Health District, in conjunction with community partners, can assess the health disparities which need to be addressed in Defiance County. 

Currently, Defiance County General Health District’s focus is on childhood obesity.  In an effort to combat childhood obesity, Defiance County General Health District created the Health E Zone website.  This website teaches children about healthy eating and being physically active.  Defiance County General Health District also conducts various activities throughout the year which promotes physical activity and healthy nutrition.
