Defiance County Safe Communities Traffic Fatalities Update

The Defiance County Safe Communities Coalition reports two traffic crash fatalities from October 1, 2022 โ€“ December 31, 2022. This compares to one fatal crash in Defiance County during the same months in 2021. In 2022, Defiance County has had five traffic fatalities, as compared to nine traffic fatalities in 2021.

As of January 3, 2023, the Ohio Traffic Safety Office reports 1,269 confirmed traffic crash fatalities for 2022 as compared to 1,356 fatalities in 2021. This is a 6% decrease in crash fatalities.
