Community Environmental Health
The Body Art portion of the Community Environmental Health Program is responsible for administering Chapter 3701-09 of the Ohio Administrative Code. The health district is responsible for issuing a Permit to Operate a Body Art Establishment.
The Manufactured Home Park portion of the Community Environmental Health Program is responsible for administering Chapter 4781 of the Ohio Administrative Code. The Ohio Manufactured Home Commission is responsible for approving, reviewing, and licensing manufactured home parks. The Ohio Manufactured Home Commission contracts with the health district to provide inspection support.
The School Environmental Health & Safety portion of the Community Environmental Health Program is responsible for administering the Defiance County General Health District School Environmental Health & Safety Guidelines. The guidelines were passed in response to Jarod’s Law being rescinded in 2010.
The Smoke-Free Workplace portion of the Community Environmental Health Program is responsible for administering Chapter 3701-52 of the Ohio Administrative Code. The Ohio Department of Health is responsible for administering and managing the Smoke-Free Workplace Act throughout the State of Ohio. The Ohio Department of Health contracts with the health district to provide inspection support.
