Sewage at Northtowne Estates Mobile Home Community

Defiance County Health Department and Defiance City are currently investigating a sewage and water leak at North Towne Estates, in Defiance. Testing has indicated the presence of E.coli. E. coli in water is a strong indicator of sewage or animal waste contamination. Sewage and animal waste can contain many types of disease causing organisms.
Residents are advised to avoid Northtowne Estates Mobile Home Community. Diehl Park is closed at this time and must be avoided. Diseases acquired from contact with contaminated water can cause stomach illness, skin, eye and other infections. The most commonly reported symptoms are stomach cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and low-grade fever. If you have symptoms, contact your healthcare provider.
