Resident Day Camps

A resident day camp is “a facility which is primarily used for the purpose of camping, indoor or outdoor activities, and exist on any track of land together with any buildings or structures pertinent to its use, but does not require overnight residence.”  The Defiance County General Health District will began granting resident day camps in Defiance County Permission to Operate in the 2015 camp season.  Day camps in our area generally operate during the summer months to accommodate school children throughout the region during the summer break.

The Resident Camp program in Ohio is regulated under the authority of Chapter 3701-25 of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC).
