FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Defiance County Community Health Surveys
DEFIANCE, OH – In the next week, the Defiance County Health Department will start mailing out the Community Health Assessment survey. This survey will go to people living in Defiance County. The survey is put on by the POWER Defiance County Coalition. This group is made up of local leaders and community members. Members are from areas like healthcare, social services, education, public safety, and government. This group is working with Defiance College to gather and study the survey answers.
Over the next two months, more than 3,000 people in Defiance County will be randomly chosen to take the survey. The survey is for two groups: parents of kids ages 0-11 and adults who are 19 years and older. If you get the survey, please complete it electronically or complete a paper copy and send it back.
The survey is anonymous, which means your name will not be linked to your answers. The survey will ask about your health, any risks to your health, and how easy it is for you to get medical care. The information will help show what health programs are needed in Defiance County. POWER Defiance County will use this information to plan future health programs. The final report will come out in early 2025, and it will help make a plan to improve health in the community.
